BRITISH ACTRESS LILY JAMES IS THE NEW FACE OF BURBERRY'S CAMPAIGN & FRAGRANCE: MY BURBERRY BLACK
Burberry has launched My Burberry Black parfum for women, inspired by the black Heritage Trench Coat (which we all know as an icon). The global campaign starring British actress Lily James was shot by none other than Mario Testino under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey, the brand's Chief Creative Officer. “I’m so delighted to have worked with the very lovely and clever Lily James on our new My Burberry campaign," Bailey said. "I have admired her work for quite some time and was bowled over by her wonderful charm and her warmth when we met so it was a treat to have had the opportunity to collaborate on this shoot together."
The Burberry family revealed the new scent at a chic party hosted by Lily James at Café Thomas, with guests including Christopher Bailey himself, Josh Whitehouse, Todd Dorigo, Toby Huntington-Whitely, Izzy Bizu and many more.
Bailey worked with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian on the scent, conjuring the very essence of bare skin underneath their trench; sun-drenched jasmine, peach nectar and rose fused with amber patchouli for depth. Better yet, customers are able to personalise their very own bottle of My Burberry Black with up to three initials, thanks to a special monogramming service offered at Burberry stores exclusively. My Burberry Black is available in Burberry boutiques, Sephora, David Jones and Myer from September.
